2010 Ended in a Bang!

2010 was a great year: our boys turned 3 and 1, I turned thirty, we traveled almost every month, C started preschool, we added 2 new cousins to our family, I ran my first marathon post baby, we nurtured close friendships, joined a new small group, and so much more! We are thankful that the Lord continues to bless our family. Even with the all the activities the month of December brings, we were able to stop and reflect on the "Holyday" that makes up the Christmas season.

First C was in his first Christmas pageant. I didn't get the best of pictures, but he and his classmates were the angels. He did fabulous, singing with strong emotion while remembering each word of the song. (the picture is of poor quality, but that is what happens when you are running through the snow, with coatless children, trying to make the performance on time--you end up sitting on the backrow!)
Since my family takes an annual trip to the islands during the Christmas season, we exchanged gifts early, celebrating on the 23rd. It is a unique feeling when you are "done" with Christmas before the actual day even comes. My parents are always super generous in their giving. One of C's favorites was a real guitar, and B's was his own basketball chair! We celebrated our own family of four Christmas the same day. Some of the boys favorites from us and Santa: Spiderman, C's first transformer, spiderman toothbrush, superhero underwear, a singamajig, and of course, the ever practical clothing.

On Christmas day, we fled for the warm weather and sun (which I will post on later), which wasn't as much this year with all the cold weather fronts that flew through the east coast. We are looking forward to a great 2011!

Oh..and did we mention tantrums started in our house..head banging against the walls and all. Merry Christmas to us!!

I actually think it's kind of funny, he throws himself on the floor and screams and peeks at us in between screams to see what we are going to do. ha. we got 2 singamajigs and caleb is terrified of them. apparently they sing in harmony? we haven't quite figured that out yet. glad you guys had a good christmas!
